Social impact and sustainability

Social responsibility and sustainability are fundamental to our identity as an organisation. We believe that education should not only prepare students for their future, but also inspire them to make a positive impact on the world around them. As a school deeply committed to sustainability, we integrate these values into both our operations and our projects.

Our school runs entirely on solar power, allowing us to operate in an eco-friendly way while reducing our carbon footprint. This commitment to sustainability extends to the materials we use in building and maintaining our campus, prioritising locally sourced and sustainable resources wherever possible. Our approach reflects our belief that we should live the values we teach, creating a healthier environment for our students and the wider community.

Beyond our own sustainable practices, we partner with local charities and organisations to support community development and social impact initiatives. These partnerships enable us to contribute to causes that uplift underprivileged communities while also encouraging our students to understand the importance of giving back. By working closely with local organisations, we ensure that our social impact reaches beyond our campus and into the wider community.

Sustainability is also woven into our 21st-century learning approach at KEY academy. Through our project-based learning model, students explore the challenges of sustainability and develop innovative solutions to real-world environmental issues. Whether they are designing water filtration systems or creating recycling initiatives, they are constantly learning about sustainability in a hands-on, impactful way. We are confident that this will empower them to become responsible global citizens, committed to building a more sustainable world.
